Mr Qutub Dadabhai, Chairman of GHTEC
Mr Qutub Dadabhai comes from a well-known business family and was educated in America where he specialized in Marketing. At the age of 23, he was designated as Director responsible for the Trading Division of The Dadabhai Group. The headquarters of this division was moved successfully to Jebal Ali in Dubai and now it exports to over 15 countries. His successful tenure at the Trading Division led him next to become Director of the Hotel Division of The Dadabhai Group wherein he was actively involved in the expansion of the Division, setting up of three hotels. He was instrumental in setting up and successfully running the Baisan Institute of Hospitality Management (BIHM) from 1999. He, later, set up Gulf Training Solutions (GTS) and Clarendon Parker Bahrain (CPB). Mr Dadabhai is also a Founding Member of the Young Entrepreneurs’ Organization, Bahrain and Young Presidents’ Organization, Bahrain and has been a member of the Human Resources Committee of the Bahrain Chambers of Commerce and Industry.

Dr Roy C Wood, Director of Academic Development
Dr Roy Wood is responsible for overseeing the operations of all GHTEC’s institutes, colleges and affiliates and has a special responsibility for the International College of Hospitality and Tourism in Bahrain. He is a career educator having substantial international senior operational, strategic and project management exposure in state and private educational systems, and in corporate training in countries as diverse as Austria, France, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Iran, Kenya, The Netherlands, Ireland, Spain, Switzerland, UK, and Zimbabwe. Before joining the Gulf Hospitality and Tourism Educational Company he held senior posts at the University of Strathclyde, UK (Professor of Hospitality Management); IMI Institute of Hotel and Tourism Management, Luzern, Switzerland (Principal and Managing Director); and the Oberoi Centre for Learning and Development, India (Dean). Dr Wood is a Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy, and of the Institute of Hospitality and the author, co-author, editor or co-editor of 15 books and over 60 research papers in refereed journals as well as numerous other publications. He is a member of the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications (for tourism and hospitality subjects), and holds or has held numerous visiting academic appointments in universities in Europe and Asia.

Mr Atul Gokhale, Academic Director, The Saudi Tourism and Hospitality Training Company, Riyadh
Mr Atul Gokhale is a graduate from the Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, India and Hospitality Management Graduate (BBA), USA. He is also a Certified Hospitality Educator (CHE) from the Educational Institute of American Hotel and Lodging Association, USA; a Member of the UK Institute of Hospitality; and is credited with a Diploma in Hotel Management and Diploma in Hospital Management. He has over 10 years of hotel experience with groups like the India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC), Bihar; Days Inn, Mumbai; Bombay Hospital, Mumbai; and Sagar Plaza, Pune. Mr Atul Gokhale is the Academic Director of STHTC and his job profile includes management of programs, batch planning and scheduling, supervising instructors and student administration.

Mr Abbas Faraj, Director of Bahrain Institute of Hospitality and Retail (BIHR), Bahrain
Mr Abbas Faraj is a stalwart of the Bahraini hotel industry having served with some of the best hotels in the Kingdom as Operations Director and Director of Human Resources. He holds an MBA from the University of Hull, UK and has been honoured several times by the Government of Bahrain for his excellence in performance.

Mr Adnan Butt, Director of Human Capital and Franchise Relations
Adnan Butt is a graduate of the Conrad N Hilton College of Hospitality Management at the University of Houston where he also obtained a Diploma in Sales and Marketing. He has held a variety of positions in training and human resources including General Manager (Middle East) for the company Learning Works and Vice President, Human resources for the Hashoo Group of Hotels in Pakistan.

Mr Joseph F Noufaily, Country Manager, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA)
Mr Noufaily is BBA (Marketing) and a Bachelor of Environmental Studies (Pre-Architectural). He has over 10 years national and international general management and marketing experience including managing an entire sales force, including recruitment, training, supervising and evaluation of over 350 employees. Mr Noufaily is presently based in Saudi Arabia and his job profile includes overall responsibility for setting up and running the BIHR centre in KSA.
